Gallagher is pleased to announce that Leah Irwin has joined as Counsel in its Data Privacy practice, augmenting the firm’s capabilities in this rapidly growing area of law.
Leah, who joins Gallagher from a Fortune 500 global investment management firm, focuses on providing counsel on the data privacy aspects of mergers and acquisitions, vendor contracts, ad tech compliance, cybersecurity incident response, disclosures related to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA) and other state-level laws, and conducting data mapping exercises and privacy impact assessments.

With over a decade of in-house experience, Leah leverages her background to take a practical, business-oriented approach to addressing the most challenging aspects of data privacy. She routinely collaborates with professionals across functions including information technology, marketing, and human resources to reduce risk and operationalize best practices.
Leah received her Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center and her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Tufts University.
