Gallagher Evelius & Jones LLP Adds James Buck to its Growing Health Law Practice Group

Gallagher Evelius & Jones LLP, a Baltimore-based law firm, is pleased to announce that James Buck has joined the firm. Buck joins the firm as Counsel and will practice in the firm’s growing health law group.

In his new position, Buck will advise health systems, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care providers on a range of business and regulatory issues, including corporate governance and structure, physician recruitment and employment, and the federal False Claims Act and anti-kickback and Stark laws.

He will also work closely with health care clients on corporate compliance including compliance program assessments, the development of compliance policies, and training and education.

Prior to joining Gallagher, Buck was a senior litigation associate in the health care and life sciences and government enforcement practice groups at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, D.C.  He regularly advised health care clients on regulatory and compliance matters and defended False Claims Act litigation.

Before entering private practice, Buck served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James A. Kenney III of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. In 2014, he was named a “Rising Star” in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by Super Lawyers Magazine.

A cum laude graduate of Dickenson College, Buck holds a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law.
