From an early age, faith and service have both played a major role in Dave Kinkopf’s life. He was educated at a Jesuit high school and went on to study biology and theology at Notre Dame. His involvement with the Catholic Church and interest in nonprofit service led him to Puerto Rico after college where he worked in a soup kitchen, helped direct a GED program, assisted with after-school and summer programs, and helped manage a self-employment initiative for local women.
