Emily Levy is a member of Gallagher’s Litigation Group. She represents the firm’s clients in a wide variety of matters, ranging from commercial litigation to the defense of medical malpractice claims.

As a commercial litigator, Emily has extensive experience defending clients through the entire pre-trial process. This includes taking depositions of Plaintiffs and expert witnesses, engaging in dispositive motions practice, and propounding discovery targeted at dismantling affirmative claims against her clients. Emily additionally has valuable court experience – she has co-chaired two jury trials, argued before the Appellate Court of Maryland, argued motions in Circuit Court, and completed the Virginia Trial College. As a member of the firm’s residential housing practice, she helps advise clients on business strategy, dispute resolution, and crisis management while helping run the firm’s Fair Housing practice which involves formally responding to complaints of alleged discrimination and managing the investigation process.

After graduating from law school, Emily served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Dan Friedman of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland and to the Honorable Paul W. Grimm of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Emily has been named by Super Lawyers as a Maryland Rising Star 2024-2025.
