Brian is a litigator who focuses on matters involving educational and other nonprofit organizations, as well as helping entities navigate complex commercial contract and business disputes. As lead counsel, he has obtained judgments in favor of colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools, healthcare and other nonprofit institutions, and commercial entities in a wide array of high stakes discrimination, tort, business, and constitutional law cases in federal and state courts. In addition to litigation, he advises entities on organizational, compliance and insurance coverage issues.

After graduating from law school, Brian served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. A permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, Brian received the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland’s 2013 Exceptional Service Award, and in 2016 was recognized by The Daily Record as a Leadership in Law award winner.

Brian serves as the Co-chair of the Firm’s Recruiting Committee, and is a member of its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Strategic Planning Committees.
