Gallagher is pleased to announce that two associates, Anne B. Fox and Steven G. Metzger, have joined the firm.
Formerly with Lerch, Early & Brewer of Bethesda, Ms. Fox will work primarily in employment law representing management in all aspects of labor and employment matters. Her practice will also include Gallagher's active education law practice, where she will work with private institutions of elementary, secondary, and higher education.
Ms. Fox will be working closely with Kathryn Kelley Hoskins, chair of Gallagher's Employment and Education practice groups. "We are very pleased that Anne is joining us," commented Ms. Hoskins. "She is a bright attorney who will increase our capacity in these practice areas and be a good fit with our clients and within our law firm."
Ms. Fox served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul M. Newby, Supreme Court of North Carolina, from 2005 to 2006. While attending law school, she worked as a staff member of the North Carolina Banking Journal and clerked for the Office of University Counsel and the North Carolina Attorney General's Office.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law (JD, with honor, 2005) and the College of William and Mary (BA, magna cum laude, 2000).
Mr. Metzger joins the firm after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James R. Eyler, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, since 2006. He will practice in Gallagher's Litigation Group.
"Steve is a former Gallagher law clerk and alum of our summer associate program," said Gallagher Litigation chair Thomas Dame. "Steve already has exposure to the kind of complex issues our clients encounter. Through his prior work he has proven himself a highly capable professional. We are looking forward to many years of practice with this promising litigator." In addition to other members of the practice, Mr. Metzger will be working with veteran litigator Ward B. Coe who joined the firm in July.
Mr. Metzger is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (JD, 2006) where he was a member of The Maryland Law Review. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (BA, magna cum laude, 2003).
