On behalf of client H&S Properties, Gallagher, Evelius & Jones attorneys Saul Gilstein and Martha Hylton successfully completed a difficult and significant office lease negotiation to bring global asset management firm Legg Mason, Inc. to a planned 24 story office tower in Baltimore’s booming Harbor East neighborhood. Legg Mason plans to move approximately 1,000 of its Baltimore-based employees to the premier waterfront tower in the summer of 2009. Construction of the Class A office tower, which will be part of a complex including a Four Seasons Hotel, retail space, and condominiums, will begin in March of 2007. Baltimore leaders, including mayor Sheila Dixon, hailed the important lease transaction as an exciting economic development for the City.
