Biography
Saul Gilstein offers clients his substantial experience in several diverse areas of practice including commercial leasing, employment law and the taxation of real estate. He represents both landlords and tenants in commercial lease negotiations and has vast experience in counseling and defending clients with regard to sensitive employment matters and claims. Saul has saved owners of real estate millions of dollars of real property taxes through careful and creative advocacy in the tax assessment appeal process. Saul also practices in the areas of health care law and general litigation.
Representative Transactions • On behalf of our developer client, negotiated lease with Legg Mason for a 24-story office tower at Baltimore’s Harbor East. Legg Mason will move approximately 1,000 of its Baltimore-based employees to the class A office tower, which is part of a mixed-use complex. • On behalf of our developer client, negotiated lease with Morgan Stanley to occupy 137,000 square feet of new office space at Harbor Point. Slated for completion in 2010, Morgan Stanley was the first tenant to lease office space in the $700 million mixed-use project.
