Biography
Since joining the firm in 1994, Becky Weaver has focused her practice in health care law. Becky advises hospitals and other health care providers on a range of issues, including the federal anti-kickback law and federal and state physician self-referral laws, Medicare reimbursement issues, corporate governance and structure, the laws governing tax-exempt institutions, physician recruitment and employment and business transactions.
Becky works closely with health care clients on all aspects of corporate compliance including compliance program assessments, the development of compliance policies, training and education, internal investigations, voluntary disclosures to the HHS Office of Inspector General and refund of overpayments to governmental payors. Becky regularly advises clients on the anti-kickback and Stark laws with respect to arrangements between and among health care providers.
